24. Study and work are compatible?
The life of the working student is not easy and it is filled with advantages as well as disadvantages. To begin with the advantages, the main one is obviously earning money that can be invested in having fun, buying things or be saved for a near or further future. Another clear advantage is learning how to manage your time better; it has been proved that the working student knows how to manage their study, free and work time better and difference them better. Finally, working while studying is a challenge and a responsibility that will result in personal satisfaction if done well. On the other hand, the working student is also exhausted most of the time because when they are not studying they are most likely to be working. That exhaustion could also be caused because they lack lots of sleep; to be able to balance work, study and leisure, the working student tends to subtract hours of sleep. To end with, having a job while studying will take away precious time that is often needed to finish projects and to study for exams, which could affect the final grades substantially. All in all, being a working student can be exhausting, tiring and difficult; but it can report personal satisfaction, crucial life skills and, most importantly, money.
