Practice 7: Rewriting and descriptive writing

1. Brainstorming
2. Editing the brainstorming
3. Initial draft
4. Edit the initial draft

My favorite park
The name of the park I am about to describe is King's Garden. I discovered this park on the summer of 2019 when I studied in Southport, Merseyside, England. This park is my favorite out of all the parks I have been to for its unique characteristics and the memories I have there. To begin with, this park is full of greenery, specially flowers of all kinds, which were very nice to learn about. King's Garden is right next to the shore, so you have direct access to the pier through this park, this way, you are able to feel like you are on the beach while going for a walk around the park. This place is full of benches to sit around, has facilities for children and a mini golf course. Another part that I love about this park is an ice-cream store where they sell the best ice-creams I have ever tasted. There is also a café with a stage, it's perfect to have a coffee with background music. Finally, this place holds a special part of my heart because of all the memories I have there, either with my friends, with my host family or with my school teachers and classmates. So, although all parks might seem the same, it is the memories you have there that transforms them and makes them special. All in all, for the reasons I have presented, King's Park is my favorite place in the world.
