16. The memory of a happy child
Happy
/ˈhapi/ Adjective
Today I was feeling a bit nostalgic, so I opened the memory drawer and I got to talk with my young self. She is strong, smart and beautiful; she is a crazy kid learning about life. As I opened the drawer more I got to see more of her: Her happy moments and her sad ones. I got to remember Christmas as a kid, summer on the beach and the birthdays I shared with my mom. I still do the same things, all in all they are traditions. I still blow my candles with my mom and open presents with my brother; but not with the same illusion, not with the same attitude. I want to be like that girl in the videos, I want to see life like she sees it.
Little by little I think I am seeing life like she does, and I am happy about that. Very happy indeed.
