47. Hamilton

    My favorite musical, of all times, can't be other than Hamilton. It is historically relevant, its music it's catchy and very well though to an extent where the musical is so beautiful and so well-executed that it is still on Broadway since 2016 and it doesn't seem like it's going to stop being that way.

    Now, I will cite the sinopsis of Hamilton: "Hamilton details Hamilton's life in two acts, along with how various historical characters influenced his life such as Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de LafayetteAaron BurrJohn LaurensHercules MulliganElizabeth Schuyler HamiltonAngelica Schuyler ChurchPeggy SchuylerPhilip HamiltonMaria Reynolds; and former presidents George WashingtonJames Madison, and Thomas Jefferson."



    To me, Hamilton is brilliant. Beginning with the music, the author, Lin-Manuel Miranda, about who I am going to talk later, put to test Wagner's leitmotive and succeeded. A leitmotif is a sound or sentence that is assigned to a character, a situation or an attitude. In Hamilton, each and every character has a leitmotif and every time that they speak they sing it in a way or another. Here is a short list of some of the best known leitmotifs that appear in Hamilton.
