Practice 3: Organizing paragraphs activities

Today, 13th October 2020, we were asked to do an exercise about paragraph organization:

"Nowadays, it is claimed that the rate of home ownership lead to unemployment. Apparently, home ownership appears to make people more reluctant to find work, so, for example, in Spain there is a high ownership, thus there is a high rate of unemployment. On the contrary, in Switzerland the situation is completely opposite. Of course, other factors are taken into account. But, even though this theory is still controversial, home ownership is linked to unemployment."

Then, from the notes given to us, we were also asked to make another paragraph to upload to the blog:

Another example to support this theory is the recession of 2008-2009 in some cities from the US (California, Michigan and Florida). These cities had a major housing boom in the 90’s and after the recession house ownership fell sharply, this way, a great number of households were left with negative equity, which meant selling the houses. So, all in all, high rates of ownership may deepen the recession if labour is more static.
