21. My relationship with sports


    Sport has always been a hard part of my life, as a child I did not do well in any sports, I have always felt useless in that area. Nevertheless, now I find it satisfying because it is beginning to show some results.

    In my personal opinion, I do not have a favourite sport nor watch any sports; I just do cardio t get a nicer body and to be healthy. Before covid, I took up swimming and I really liked it because I did not feel like I was sweating when I was in the water and because it feels as if I were floating. Personally, I would not do any sacrifices for this sport, at least right now, because it was just a hobby and a way to maintain good health. As to dangerous sports, I have not tried any but I would love to have a go at skydiving because it must feel like swimming or at least it looks like it.

    On the one hand, I feel like people, such as me, tend to not like sports because of many reasons; such as sweating, getting too tired or simply because they are not good at them and this would lead to giving up on sports. But now I see those reasons as excuses; yes to move is tiring but you cannot be a couch potato all your life. On the other hand, some people like to do sport too much, if possible, and they let it take their whole life. I think this phenomenon is caused because these people want to have the perfect body. So, all in all, sport is important.

    To conclude, sport is important to maintain one’s health but not too much to forget to live. Also, it is okay not to like sports but you always have to try to keep moving in a way or another.
