44. Outlander

    My favourite series is Outlander, a series based on the books by Diana Gabaldon. This series features amazing actors like Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, Ed Speelers or Tobias Menzies; among others.

    The series is about Claire, a woman who travels to Scotland on her second honey moon after the II world war. There, she presences a sacred ceremony in Craigh Na Dun (a circle of stones). The next morning, she travels back there and after touching one stone she travels to the 18th century, where she will have to survive and find her way back home.

    This series is amazing because it is very well adapted to the books, it provides details and it is full of beautiful metaphors. Thanks to this series I learned a lot about the Jacobite cause and other historical processes of that time. Furthermore, I also love the accuracy in historical fashion in this series, the dresses, kilts and even the hair are extremely well-thought and made very carefully.

    It is available on Netflix and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see something different from what Netflix recommends to us.

 The series also has a beautiful soundtrack
